We welcome individual volunteer helpers

We also welcome company employee work groups looking to support the local community for a day's volunteering

Volunteer helpers

Horse Riding: We need side walkers to help with the horse riding in th mornings on Monday's, Wednesday's, Thursday's and Saturday's. You need to be minimum of 16 years of age. No experience needed as full training will be provided but you must be comfortable around large animals

Animals: Help our staff and users look after the animals:

Trusteeship: The charity is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation which makes trusteeship an attractive opportunity for those interested in promoting activities and opportunities for people with disablities and special needs.

Work Experience Placements:  If you’re trying to get a job, volunteering  can be a great way to get back into employment or to even change the direction of your career. Don’t forget to always put any volunteering experience on your CV as it may give you that little edge over other applicants – you’ll definitely have more to talk about in an interview.

What is in it for you: You can learn new skills, have fun, make a difference to someones life, make new friends, be part of somethig special.

Conditions: You must be at least 16 years of age. There is no upper age limit. A DBS Disclosure is required at no cost to you because you will be working with vulnerable children and adults

How to apply: Email: volunteering@heathrowspecialneedscentre.org for a registration form

COMPANY VOLUNTEERING

We offer a day's work in a farmyard setting for a maximum of about 15 people which may include mucking out and animal care etc, also outside painting, gardening and general maintenance.

It is important for us to be sure everyone enjoys themselves and feel their work at the Centre worthwhile. A charity trustee or a paid member of staff will look after your group.

We are particularly interested in organisations who recognise the need for our work and wish to support the charity.
